Pixels of the Past is an open-source, non-commercial project celebrating Australian-made video games. The project enables players to "jump" through reimagined levels, collect fun facts, and discover the legacy of classic Aussie games in this playful tribute to Australia’s gaming history!

The Artful Escape Edition lets players explore a platforming level inspired by the original The Artful Escape (2021), collecting facts about the game along the way.

This game is a homage to the original, inspired by its legacy and offering insight, but it isn’t the original.

The Artful Escape Original

The Artful Escape (2021) was developed by Beethoven and Dinosaur and published by Annapurna Interactive. It's a platformer that follows Francis Vendetti, a teen guitar prodigy bearing a legacy to uphold,  as he goes on a journey of self discovery.  The game has been published for Windows, Xbox, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Nintendo Switch.
